southsider2k5
Which network is in a fight with Viacom and might be losing a bunch of channels such as CBS and Comedy Central? Is that Dish or Direct?

Queen Prawn
My mom just got 'The Dish.' I don't know which Dish service though.
southsider2k5
Check the link. I just saw on MSNBC that Dish had increased their prices about $3 in the last year, yet refused to pay a 6 CENT increase to Viacomm.
mreye
I just saw on MSNBC that Dish had increased their prices about $3 in the last year, yet refused to pay a 6 CENT increase to Viacomm. And Dish Network says: Viacom is demanding rate increases nearly 4 times the rate of inflation Who do we trust? My bill hasn't gone up $3. southsider2k5
And Dish Network says: Who do we trust? My bill hasn't gone up $3. Depending on how much Viacomm gets for their services it makes sense. If they are getting about $1 out of the about $50 you pay to Dish, that makes the 6 cents, 6% increase, which would be about 4 times the 1 1/2%-2% that inflation is right about now. southsideirish
DirecTV is awesome. I love it. I had cable, and dish network, DirecTV is by far the best. All the sports you can handle (or in my case afford) and tons of movie channels. Also great for HDTV if you have that or are thinking of getting it. NUKE_CLEVELAND
As opposed to Korea TV? What are you watching over there? I watch AFN or American Forces Network over here. I could get cable TV with all the basic channels but I havent bothered to sign up for it yet.

They'll be back soon enough. As for DTV versus DN.. personal preference.. but as someone who uses the PVR several times.. daily.. it's not worth it for us to switch to DTV who charges for using the Tivo.
