southsider2k5
Who is #84 playing first base now? I think that is either Sweeney or Anderson right?
greasywheels121
Shingo is pitching in the top of the 8th as we're up 2-1 against San Fran. He K's the first guy, and ends up w/ a 1-2-3 inning.
greasywheels121
Mike Jackson comes out in the 9th to close the deal. The ChiSox get the 2-1 win over SF. We're now 6-6 overall.

CSF
White Sox winner! The thing I liked best about this win is that the Sox only managed 3 hits, but Garland, Koch, Shingo & Jackson picked up the slack. Maybe this will mean less and less 10-9 scores. SoxAce
Good win by the sox. We didn't get much hits, but the small ball is what got the win. We will see plenty of this in the Ozzie era which i'm excited for!
Nokona
I was really impressed with Shingo. He was throwing that 62 mph sinker/change thing and whoever that was hitting was about 3 days early on his swing. Every pitch he threw seemed to move a lot. dasox24
Can someone fill me in on what KW was saying about our outfield for the future? I was watching the Illinois game and then turned back to the Sox game and caught the tail end of what he was saying. Did he talk at all about Sweeney or Anderson and what he thinks of how they're playing so far, and did he say anything about what team Sweeney and Anderson will start this season? SoxAce
Hawk was saying how talented our outfielders are gonna be in the near future with Reed, Anderson, and Sweeney. Kenny was just talking about them individually like Reed hitting .400 in AA, and Anderson with a plus arm and bat, and Sweeney clobering the ball, and impressing people that he should make the team at only 19. (which of course won't happen) We are pretty stacked in the future with loaded talent with these guys and getting our pitching to improvement as well. DBAHO
Good win for da Sox today. These are the type of wins we'll need if we want to win da division, scoring 2 runs on only 3 hits is smallball at its best. I've go no doubts 1 of Anderson or Sweeney will be in Birmingham by the end of the year, they r both extremely good prospects. Good to see Jackson and Shingo both impressing, Jackson could definitely bring some much needed experience if he does make the bullpen.
