SoxAce
You likely have not heard the last of Borchard, either, considering the contract uncertainty surrounding Magglio Ordonez. If the Sox start slowly and Maggs is shipped out before the trade deadline, Borchard would likely replace him in right field. We probably will see Borchard again most likely cause we probably won't keep Maggs. It's good to let him get his at-bats daily, then when we call him up, he'll already be warmed up instead of rotting on the bench. On the plus side, Gload has really impressed Ozzie and is on the team.
Chisoxfn
IF he's playing this year before September (even then I don't think they call him up) then it likely means the Sox have already given up and dealt Ordonez and others. I do think Sweeney and Anderson have a heck of a future and I'm excited about Reed too.
Rex Hudler
There is no listing of Borchard being optioned in any of the transactions. Yes, it will happen, but this screams as something Yahoo picked up from a fan site, which is not always accurate. Anybody remember when Yahoo Sports picked up Soxtalk's report of KW resigning last summer?? We all know how accurate that turned out to be. LOL

SuperSteve
This is no big deal, I never expected him to break camp with the Sox.
YASNY
It's kinda hard for a guy to make a team with only 3 at bats. He'll be up with the Sox before long, I believe.
Guest JimH
I had a chance to talk to Herm Schneider while in Tucson last week, he said they are just being careful with Borchard's quad injury. They want to make sure he's 100% before turning him loose and it seems like they're taking the smart path.
southsider2k5
No big surprise. They want Joe to play everyday, and I can't argue with them. Even if all things were equal between Joe and Gload, I would take Ross north, because he isn't the future.
