knightni
"To me, there's three receivers that start anyway," Smith said. "We may start the games with our nickel wide receiver set anyway." Sounds so un-Bear like.
DBAHO
Here's 1 from Cbs.Sportsline.com, Chicago Bears Best Move: Hiring Lovie Smith as coach, which means there is a new offensive coordinator, too, in Terry Shea. Bears fans couldn't stomach much more of John Shoop's offense. Worst Move: Giving John Tait a contract that will pay him $11.5 million this season is not a good thing. He is a good player, but certainly not worth that money. Overall Grade: C. Does adding Tait and Thomas Jones to the offense really excite anybody? Didn't think so. moochpuppy
Overall Grade: C. Does adding Tait and Thomas Jones to the offense really excite anybody? Didn't think so. Did they not watch our tackle play last season? As far as Tait getting 11.5 million, it's only this season. The Bears had to front load the contract in order to keep KC from resigning him. God, this guy sounds like he writes for PFT. :headshake
