Rangers win 4-3, game over.

 

Just as an FYI, they mostly played the kids today. Harris, Crede, Valentin, Olivo were the only regulars that I heard through the lineup... but the box score may indicate otherwise as I was not glued to the radio the whole game.

Game Story

 

 

SURPRISE, Arizona (Ticker) -- Mark Teixeira, Kevin Mench and

Layne Nix hit solo home runs, powering the Texas Rangers to a

4-3 Cactus League victory over the Chicago White Sox.

 

Nix's homer off White Sox starter Esteban Loaiza snapped a 3-3

tie in the seventh.

 

Joaquin Benoit tossed a scoreless seventh in relief of Chan Ho

Park to record the win.

 

Park alllowed three runs and six hits in six innings, giving up

a two-run homer to Joe Borchard in the second.

 

Loaiza took the loss, yielding four runs and eight hits in seven

frames.
