WSoxShuf
living in KC, I hear all the Royals crap. Mike Macdougal has not performed in one game this ST, and the radio talking heads are saying that he is in very poor shape, and if fatigued. They say he will be out until June at earliest. southsider2k5
Good old rotoworld was all over this. I dropped MacDougal and picked up Leskanic in like 3 leagues
UofIChiSox
That's delicious and as impressive as he was last year I'm surprised that I haven't heard it elsewhere.

EvilJester99
All I seen on him is he is battling the stomach virus. He should be fine. From Rototimes Mar. 26 Mike MacDougal threw off a mound for five minutes on Thursday for the first time in 12 days as he continues to recover from a stomach virus, according to the Kansas City Star. He remains several days away from game action. Tony Pena indicated that MacDougal needs to pitch "at least three times" in game situations before returning to the closer's role. southsider2k5
I didnt see it, where is it? I can't find it now. They had something about him most likely being on the DL or minors to start the season, and that Leskanic would be closing. I wonder what happened to it? greasywheels121
And why was KC picked to be the favorite in the division again?
CSF
And why was KC picked to be the favorite in the division again? Because we lost Bartolo Colon, 2 rent a players in Robbie Alomar & Carl Everett, and "awesome" relievers in Gordon and Sullivan. Not to mention Graffanino. We are sooooooooooooo doomed ESPN and the rest of the media will look so stupid in October. I can't wait.

knightni
I have him in all 3 of my leagues.. I'm not concerned right now to jump the gun and do anything drastic. I just reserved him.
BaseBallGuy
Out until June? I live in KC and it isn't that serious. He had the flu again and lost around 15 pounds which kills a guy his size. It's the same thing that happened to him last year when he started to suck for a few months. He'll start the year on the DL but should be back within a month or so. He's already started throwing again.
WSoxShuf
They said he is very sick, and lose a buch of weight. Also his velocity dropped, it takes awhile to get that back up. He will be out for time.
whitesoxin'
This sounds like the problem Hinrich had at the beginning of the season for the Bulls and he wasn't out that long if I remember right.
KipWellsFan
Another Mike Mac update from rotoworld.com Mike MacDougal will throw off a mound again Thursday. If all goes well, he could throw live batting practice on Saturday. MacDougal is likely to open the season on the DL as he recovers from a stomach ailment. Curtis Leskanic will spend a week or two closing in his place. Source: Kansas City Star
witesoxfan
I believe they also put Kevin Appier on the DL. Can you say slow start?
Wise Master Buehrle
I believe they also put Kevin Appier on the DL. Can you say slow start? Just what the Royals need, pitching injuries. Sucks for them.
