Wise Master Buehrle
Our guys noticed that today wasn't Danny's day, and they helped him get that win despite him giving up 5 runs. Now we all know our 5th starter isn't going to go out and give up 2 runs/game every game. It's good that they can help their 5th starter and score a lot of runs. Even our best relievers in Marte, Koch, and in some ways, Politte, each gave up 2 runs, and we still got the win. I'm impressed by our batters. SkokieSox
They certainly showed up. It was a great performance, especially since not all of our big bats were in the lineup, and the fact that we gave up over 10 runs and pulled out a win. Very good performance. Jordan4life_2007
I'm really gettin worried about, Koch...He was lookin pretty good for a while. I think he's given up runs in his last 4 outings or so. Say what u want about this team. Unless Shingo and Pollite prove they can do the job, we're not going anywhere without a productive. Koch... maggsmaggs
He may be experiencing the typical dead arm towards the end of Spring Training. Tim Hudson was rocked today as well, but it's just the dead arm. I expect him to be ready April 5th, when he is in the bottom of the 9th protecting a 9-3 White Sox lead; just getting a little work in because of the off-day Tuesday. The problem is : Billy has been experiencing a "dead arm" period ever since he came to the White Sox. It appears it won't be corrected by opening day. KW should be working the phones for relief help right now.

Or he may be experiencing the effects of having a fastball that is straighter then an arrow going at 92 MPH with very little breaking stuff and a s*** changeup. You can't get away with throwing a 92 MPH fastball in the majors and that being your only pitch. Maybe you can in AA though.

Anyone that watched Billy throw this spring knows that he has started introducing some movement to his pitches. And his offspeed pitches were hitting his targets off the plate. He lokoed good in his early spring appearances. Now, here lately, indeed he has been pretty bad. I'm hoping its a situation of where Spring Training is just wearing on these guys. Hell, Marte and Politte has the same problems today, and we have argued the case for both of them to be closer too. Lets relax, and see what happens on April 6th guys.
