CubsSuck1
Is the Birmingham roster available anywhere?
Heads22
Alas, looks like I have another story to write. Roster seems thin though.
Heads22
Is the Birmingham roster available anywhere? Not yet, unless Jason's got another email he hasn't told me about. I'm thinking I may wait til we get the release on the Charlotte roster to write anything.
Heads22
I think their roster is missing Munoz....didn''t think he would be demoted.
danman31
It will be interesting to see who gets in the rotation and what the heck is up with Munoz. Wylie and Pacheco look like the candidates for the 5th spot. Maybe Munoz is part of a trade? Oh boy, here come the trade rumors.... Also sweet to see Reed on AAA. I thought it would happen, but I wanted to be sure after his disappointing spring.
Rex Hudler
Munoz is in AA being converted to a starter. Birmingham's roster is the same as Bullard posted a few days ago in a minor league thread. Charlotte's roster is only at 23 (plus Wunsch on the MLB DL), so they are short one player. AAA roster's are 24 for entire season this year. AA roster's will be 24 for the first and last month of the season and 23 in between.

The link from Minorleaguebaseball.com was missing a player....Bryant Nelson.
WHarris1
The link from Minorleaguebaseball.com was missing a player....Bryant Nelson. I got his autograph at ST.
Rex Hudler
Rex, do you have the official B-ham roster? The link from Minorleaguebaseball.com was missing a player....Bryant Nelson. Not an official one, no. But from what I understand, Bullard hit the nail on the head earlier this week. There were no changes from what he posted. They do have an extra player, so they may be waiting to find out who will go on the DL before they release it. I was told they didn't know who that was going to be yet. Rex Hudler
Here is Bullard's post from earlier this week. I just copied and pasted... THe Bham roster looks like it is pretty much set. I think we can carry 24 active players. There is 27 on the roster right now, 2 on the DL This is what it looks like now: Pitchers: Starters- Honel, Meaux, Phillips, Munoz, Yofu, Wing(on DL for a month or so) Relievers- Bullard, Ulacia, McNichol, Baj, Smith, Keller, Allen, Fields(DL for a couple of weeks) Infielders- McNeal, Yan, Reyes, Morse, Shaffer, Sasser Outfielders- Spidale, Blakely, Franklin, Murphy Catchers- Maldonado, Aceves, Stewart
Heads22
Cool Rex. I don't think i'm gonna do it tonite though without all the height info and stuff. Too much work already today.
Chisoxfn
Bham looks like it will have a real good rotation. They could be the Dodgers of the Southern League cause it doesn't look like they will get a lot of run support. Hopefully Yan can get on a roll, cause if he's getting on base, it will make it a lot easier to score some runs. He is crazy fast. Everytime I've seen him play, I'm just in awe when I see him run. My god, he makes me look like a broken down Paul Konerko

They have more veterans than ever before that are quality AA players. They may not be sexy up and coming prospects, but I think you will see a different Barons club offensively than those of the last few years.
