Cerbaho-WG
Koch was not hitting 96, so don't even start thinking that his velo is back. Cliff Politte was hitting 99 on the WGN gun, so subtarct 4-5 MPH, and you have Koch at a reasonable 91-92. His slide piece on Guiel was very nice, I must admit. Rooftop Shots
Koch actually touched 95-96 mph today. I'm not disappointed about his performance even with that double from Santiago. It's good to see velocity up, but he still needs to get movement on his fastball. Even if he winds up throwing 105mph's, if you throw it straight as an arrow all the time, the good hitters will time themselves to hit it. Put movement on his velocity, get confidence in his location, and then it's "Turn out the lights!!!" Until then,he still has a lot of work to do yet for me to have confidence in him. I thought that at first, but Buehrle was right where he should of been velocity was, as was Anderson. ALso, Politte has been known to consistently hit 96-97, so I wouldn't put 99 past him. Plus, that would mean Marte was hitting 88-89.
southsider2k5
Damn it didn't Billy learn anything from Spring training? He wasn't giving up any runs when he was 91-93 and spotting his pitches. Then he started trying to crank up his velocity and that is when is starting getting hammered. I hope he is learning this lesson.

Yes, Politte hit 99, but that was just one time, and it was on hs first pitch.
