SAVVY18
This is another kick in the nuts. What a terrible 24 hour period. First the Sox blow it and now this. Washington jumps from #3 to #1, Pittsburgh goes from #1 to #2 and the Hawks go from #2 to #3. The main thing is Ovechkin and Malkin are sitting at #1 & #2. Both are ready to play and are superstar material. We will get a very good player at #3, but it is just our luck. I am sooooo pissed. EvilJester99
All I have to say is the Hawks can't win for losing. Doesn't surprise me in the least.

Spiff
Thanks a bunch! I guess 8th isn't too bad. About where I expected. Without knowing too much about the Canes, it would seem they need to find a finisher with that eighth spot, someone who can get down low and get some garbage goals. The young players they have like Staal and Cole are good, but better passers than they are scorers. They already have a solid defense, and if they didn't only have one goalie (for all intents and purposes; Storr is awful) for most of the year, they might have been able to make a run at the eighth seed. Queen Prawn
They definitely need a primary goalie. If Carolina wasn't so intent on banishing Irbe, I really think the season would have ended differently. Granted he was out 3 months with shoulder surgery while at Johnstown, but when he was with the team (even on the bench) they had a different air about them. ChiSox_Sonix
The Panthers got the 7th pick. Hopefully they can get someone close to being ready at the Center position
The Critic
HAHAHAHA dumbasses got no luck at all hey, did the lottery pick go to overtime before they lost, at least??? Moral victory!!! Not that it would matter anyway - they'd try to lowball the poor kid and wait two or three years before they signed him!!!

Pully and Tallon and their crack scouting staff are all set to draft the next Christian Laflamme or Daniel Cleary from somewhere. Their drafting ability doesn't exactly inspire a lot of confidence in me cause since Jeremy Roenick was drafted in 1988 I can easily count on 1 hand the number of high draft picks that have actually panned out. Remember, Nuke, Florent Robidoux's don't grow on trees!!! It takes a LOT of hard work, sleepless nights and a tragic miscalculation of a player's potential to pick such notables as the legendary superstars you mentioned earlier!!! DBAHO
Panthers could make the playoffs next year, got a great goalie, just need sum more defense. No Keenan helps as well.

Luongo wants out of Florida unless they start winning. Therefore, the management had BETTER sign a couple big time free agents to go with their youngsters cuz Luongo MUST be kept
YASNY
Wirtz had to orchestrate this so he wouldn't have to pay such a large signing bonus.

Therefore, the management had BETTER sign a couple big time free agents to go with their youngsters cuz Luongo MUST be kept Say what you want about Keenan, he got results and he made hockey fun to watch in this town. His philosophy was sound. If you didn't play hockey well then you sat, if you didn't put out then you sat & it didnt matter a damn who you were or what you got paid. Also, the players stuck up for each other. I cant begin to count the number of times I saw guys like Zhamnov or Karpflopsev or Daisy just stand by while a teammate got clobbered. kapkomet
A lot more defense... Bouwmeester is a great prospect, and Dudley's mission in Fla. this summer is to get an experienced, rugged defenseman to show young Jay how to play the big-hittin' game with the best of 'em. They get that, they will be fine...
