Koch Concern

Controlled Chaos

Recommended Posts

granted I didn't turn the game on until PK was stealing 2nd :o but sure looked like a number of empty seats to me - maybe folks left early -

I don't care to see KC waking up, doesn't matter which team (As or Royals) we have had some bad times in KC

Didn't say I want to see the Royals win. But it is great to see a city like Kansas City step up its effort in supporting the Royals.

They won't average 30,000 a night, but an improved attendance is good for baseball in general.

In fact, I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is going to be a season that helps put baseball back on the map (in terms of getting closer to football, which is probably thought of overall as the #1 sport...not by me).

I love football, but i LOVE baseball

I know what you meant.

I was perhaps not clear in responding. Sorry.

I do not want to see KC "step up its effort in supporting the Royals". Let it be dead there. We have enough problems in that city historically without them actually being back to supporting their team!

Yeah I did go to the game.

Unfortunately it was the most rabid scene in memory after the game-winning

blast.

As far as today ... did anybody see the game on TV? Was it even

on TV anywhere?

I didn't see it but listened to the ninth and even though Koch went to three

balls on about every batter, it seemed like a pretty nice save for Billy.

Did he have good stuff?

I think it's a good sign maybe that he blitzed through the ninth without any

MAJOR scare.

Think about it. Today Ozzie would have had to go with Koch no matter

what. It was his game to save or lose and he came through.

I give him credit.

Good job, Koch!

On to NY. I think a split would be dandy.

Losing 3 would be annoying but tolerable.

Losing 4 will be very very depressing.

 Someone let me know when the "Its the in thing to do on Soxtalk to Koch bash" period is over, please...I'll be here to chat and retort you all season.

Bash the 6 million dollar near six era mop up man, na why would that make sense. We are too unfair.

"...............what have you done for me lately..........."

I thought Janet Jackson was the only person that sang that tune.

How about lets enjoy the things that go right, aka Sox win, and we'll worry about the bad things if and when they happen.

It's not impossible. Thomas did it in 2000 after a couple bad years. One year of bad numbers doesn't mean that his career is over, does it? Mark my words...30+ saves!

The good Lord has answered the prayers!

Koch looked so much better Wed, then he ever did in 2K3.

Speeds: 88-98 MPH

Majority: 94-96 MPH

Location: more strikes than balls, few over the plate.

Corners: He was painting them nicely.

It's a new year & a new Koch!

I'm beyond shocked considering Ozzie was hoping he would be able to hit 94/95 tops a week ago!

Of course it is just one game. But damn! 98 MPH!

The last SOX pitcher I saw do that was fat boy Colon.
