WHATS THE PROBLEM WITH THE HAWKS?

DAMN,  LAST TIME I LOOKED THEY WERE LIKE 9 OVER 500 & NOW THEY ARE ALMOST BACK AT BREAK EVEN.  WHAT THE HELL'S GOING ON HEATHER??? I HEAR DAZE IS HURT & FLEURY IS...WELL,,,,,FLEURY.  MAYBE THAT EXPLAINS IT.

GO HAWKS!!!

The major problem is a two-edged sword. First of all, the Hawks are majorly lacking of a physical presence. Secondly, they play passively on the power play. In addition, the Hawks just got through their toughest month of the season. Look for an improvement in their conference standing soon!

Oh, and the ABC line is $$$! :headbang

BUT...they are looking at trading for Iginla according to the Trib. Highly doubtful in my mind, but it's nice to dream.

That's only because some Trib writers do not know what the hell they are talking about with respect to the Hawks, so they use speculations going on at the message boards over at blackhawkzone.com for material so they look like they have a clue! They don't actually investigate their topics. There was just a big thread at blackhawkzone.com regarding this issue about a week or so ago, where one poster just basically posted a "what if" idea regarding Iginla.

And let's not forget the fact that the coach over-uses his goaltender, so the guy becomes less and less effective during the stretch drive and the playoffs ( well, when they make the playoffs, that it... ) Thibault is not a huge man physically, so I believe he wears down, and this has been documented in years past. Those who do not learn from mistakes are doomed to repeat them...

The Blackhawks are the only team in the NHL without a victory by any backup goaltender. In my mind, this says more about coaching decisions than it does about the quality of the Hawks' backups. The backups seem to get in the game after Thibault has let in a few softies, or they throw Leighton in there against Detroit the night after Thibault plays against Columbus or Nashville. I think you save your top guy for the top teams and let him rest against "lesser" clubs.

Oh, and there's just not enough offense. The Hawks have been losing some 2-1 and 3-1 games lately. They were winning those early in the year.
