Gene Honda Civic
He earned some PT today vs. righties, But I still like Aaron out the vs. lefties and for his defence.
witesoxfan
I like Aaron out there no matter what, but if Timo can put up a .270-.280 average, he is a hell of a 4th OF option. And we got all that for a guy we had no use for. Sweet.
southsideirish
One thing I do like is his lefthanded bat in a predominant right handed lineup. I am not sure if either he or Rowand are an everyday CF. I would also like to see Rowand batting 2nd. I believe he suits that role in the batting order a lot better than Jose. BrandoFan
Perez was hitting RHP pretty damn well a year or two ago -- certainly better than Aaron has so far. He can field as well as Aaron, is faster on the pads and has post-season/pennant race experience. Aaron starts versus LHP. Let them fight for the right to hit against RHP. Competitiion is good. Who knows, maybe Reed/Borchard/Gload want to join the fight.
YASNY
I'm glad to see Timo got off to a good start for us. That will keep down most of the "This guy sucks." and "KW is a moron." remarks for a while.
Bighurt52235
I personally think that he is a better leadoff option than Willie/Uribe. Where else in the lineup could Willie hit? 9th is the only spot I deem suitable for him. Right now, he is the one guy who when he is up I am not confident in him getting a hit, I just haven't seen it enough.
Jordan4life_2007
I thought even before today that Timo was a steal. He's just a solid all around ball player.
whitesox247
Its hilarious how one game can start a love fest or hate rampage against a player.
Jordan4life_2007
Its hilarious how one game can start a love fest or hate rampage against a player. Very true. That's really lame to me. But I did really think Timo was a steal.
YASNY
It's all about what happens over the long haul. Too many people are ready to give up on someone too quickly, and in other situations, like Timo today, they annoint him as the Second Coming ..... DonkeyKongerko
I'm very happy to see what Timo did in his first start today. I hope we can use him often enough this season. Also I just read on Whitesox.com that Gload will probably get a start on Sunday.
