i think it was KO. he was saying that last year he thought the sox were good enough to get to and, i think he said this, win the world series. i think the change in manager and total attitude enema will do wonders for this team. they just may surprise the hell out of us. i know i wasnt too sure about the season but i love what i have seen so far.

That was pretty much the concensus around NY, that we were the team to beat in the Playoffs. I think many of the players on that team were glad to see the Sox falter down the stretch, not becuase they wanted to see them fail, but because they didn't want to have to face them.

Very true. This baseball chat I frequent occasionaly on AOL has a lot of Yank fans, and for the most part their fans were really scared of us. They respected what we did outside of our divison and against teams above .500. That would've been something to see Buerhle, Colon, and Loaiza as a 1-2-3 in the playoffs w/ our offense.

Jerry Manuel.... :fyou

This is a new team with an entirely different attitude. I can't wait to see how much fun were gonna have all this season.

Very true...I love the Chisox ad campaign this year....

"Meet your 2004 Chicago White Sox."

....and then they show Frank, Mags, Crede, Buerhle, Loaiza...

...next it says...."What's changed?"

"Everything."

This is another what-if, but it is kind of scary to think what could have happened had the Sox made the playoffs. And by scary, I mean unbelievable.

That team had the s*** to win it all. Coulda, woulda, shoulda...there's a reason JM is unemployed right now.

That's a nice little swipe at JM. He was such a s***bag and it feels like a weight has been lifted off the team as a result of him leaving.
