Bonds got it

Recommended Posts

I loved how the guys on PTI were b****ing about ESPN making such a big deal out of this, and then 3 minutes later, they're cut off to see Barry's at bat. Obviously Bonds is a great home run hitter, but this is a little crazy. I don't think that in 50 years my grandkids will ask me where I was when Bonds hit 660, though ESPN would have you believe otherwise.

Say what you will about Berroid Bonds, but his swing is absolutely majestic.

He sees the ball well. He manages the strikezone and is very disciplined for a power hitter.

And then there is the swing itself -- short, super-quick and mechanically sound.

It he was willing to sacrifize some power, he could have been a ,400 hitter.

Haha the dude whose raft was closest to the splashdown flipped over.

Well maybe he went underwater and got it.

LOL, if eva I get to go to San Francisco, I wanna be one of those dudes out there in a life raft waiting for sum1 to hit a homer in the bay. That's unless I'm in the stadium watchin.

Guys, to sum this up. In 104 years of official baseball stat keeping exactly 4 guys have done this. And unless we are one of the few older posters on this site, we have seen exactly ONE of them EVER play. Take a little perspective out of this, whether you love or hate Barry. At least appreciate the history you are watching.
