mmmmmbeeer
Paulie could really help my fantasy team right here.
Flash Tizzle
Hawk and DJ: sop kissing Maddux's ass. You'll never hear any of the cubs broadcasters mentioning one word about the sox unless they're them.
mmmmmbeeer
So who pitches the 9th? I say give the ball to Cottsy, let him get as much mound time as possible before he gets dropped into the rotation in a couple of weeks.

I wouldn't say cotts (he's more long relief). Maybe Shingo should pitch the 9th......
Texsox
Give Zero some time. But have Marte or Koch ready. No screwing around.
Texsox
Was this "Dress up like it's a Football Game" promo today?
Flash Tizzle
What I don't like about Shingo is he'll end up serving a few runs that will give KC some momentum into tomorrow. Its important to give Marte some added confidence, but we may need him in a game tomorrow or Thur. Hows about Adkins?
SoxAce
A-Row strikes out.
DonkeyKongerko
Bottom 8th Thomas struck out looking. Lee singled to center. Gload running for Lee. Konerko flied out to right. Crede walked. Rowand struck out swinging. No runs, one hit, no errors. End of 8. 12-5 Sox
Elcaballo45
Lol, on cbs.sportsline they have politte, marte, and cotts in the bullpen. I think Marte should get some work so that way he can forget about the opening day game in KC and know that was just rust.
mmmmmbeeer
Billy in a no-save situation. or atleast so says sportsline, lol.
SoxAce
DJ, why in the hell would you pick the cubs to win the NL Central... :puke
SoxAce
Koch is pitching..
witesoxfan
You know what's sweet as hell? We could give up those 6 runs that we did last week, and we'd still be looking at a win. KC is really getting their ass kicked. Edited April 13, 2004 by witesoxfan
Flash Tizzle
Koch? Why is our closer in a game with a seven run lead? Cmon Ozz....
Texsox
DJ, why in the hell would you pick the cubs to win the AL Central... :puke Because they have a great shot
sox-r-us
Why waste koch here? I would give someone like Adkins or Cotts some time to pitch instead and save Koch, Marte and Politte for tomorrow when it might be a close game Oh whatever
SoxFanForever
Since nobody said it yet... STOP!!!!!! BILLY TIME!!!
Elcaballo45
And then Billy comes out... sighhh... Shouldnt we be using him in game that could be close, tomorrow or thursday and give Marte some work to gain confidence?
witesoxfan
Not a bad move IMO. Ozzie shows Koch that he does have confidence in him going against the Royals. Gives him a shot to pitch against the Royals. Maybe Koch got on the phone and called Oz and asked to pitch. Who knows that the reason is? It's not a bad move though. We do have Politte and Marte in case we need them tomorrow...that's a luxury we have.
SoxAce
I guess to give him some work.
Flash Tizzle
This is how it starts. One runner gets on and then KC pushes a few runs across. Then ozzie is forced to bring in another reliever (like opening day) and we win......but KC starts the "we can never lose" mentality.
