SoxFanForever
Man, listening to this guy talk on the Angels game he seems like a really nice, genuine guy who wants to put a good team on the field and wants the fans to see a winner. Also talked about going out to put the money out to make a winner and compete. Nice to hear that from an ower, wish I knew what it was like for my fav team
DBAHO
Angels Fans are very happy with their new owner. The team looks very, very good on the field too, plus they resigned Garret Anderson today as well.
SoxFanForever
Yeah, I heard that resigning him means that they have the whole team resigned for next year contract wise which is pretty cool.
Chisoxfn
I gave the man a major standing ovation when he threw out the first pitch. The entire stadium was freaking rocking and on their feet.
sox-r-us
He makes his money elsewhere and hence can afford to lose some money as the MLB owner
Chisoxfn
Plus they lose Appier and Sele's contracts from the books, which equates to 20 million bucks. So next years payroll will probably be much closer to 90 million.
Chisoxfn
Moreno should come close to breaking even on the Angels this year as well. Plus, as a whole he is really increasing their market share and the next time a tv contract comes out he's going to get a heck of a lot more money. YASNY
He went up into the ESPN booth during the game. He said that he wants to make it fun, freindly and affordable for the fans. If he keeps talking like that, they'll drum him out of the owners' corp. I really like the guy.
Chisoxfn
The only thing that would be better then him owning Anaheim was if he was owning the Sox. I think I'd cry

I think I'd cry I can't imagine the Sox having an owner that shows he wants to win .... more so than just saying he wants to win. That would be too good to be true. Chisoxfn
When Moreno threw out the opening day pitch, I just thought what would happen if JR threw out the opening day pitch in Chicago. I still think JR is a good guy, he just isn't the type of owner a FAN will love.
