cwsox
he hit the guy (John Guerra) who was kissing his wife Kim in the parking lot outside of a night club, was charged with two felonies, violation of MCL 750.82 (hitting Guerra with a pistol in his hand, assault with intent less than murder) and violation of MCL 750.227, carrying a concealed weapon. The case was P vs Marshall Bruce Mathers, 16th Circuit Case No 251803. Since it turned out the slugging a guy who makes out with your wife in public is not cool but not that unusual a thing for a guy to do and the weapon was decided to be incidental to fist striking Guerraa and all the witnesses were interviewed and the evidence gathered,, the Oakland County Circuit Court - which hates rappers by the way - did either a Cobbs plea or a Killebrew plea, I am not sure which, one is decided by the judge and one by the prosecutor, and he got probation on one count (slugging Guerra) and the other was dismissed. I would prefer my musicians to have no criminal records but you take them as they come. And Jason, since I work in a law office you know I get to look at the records - we have our ways - and I did a lot of research on Eminem for a lot of reasons, one of which is I am writing an article on him for Christian Century magazine. That will fun if it is ever published... Funniest thing was his mother did sue him for slander (that she is a drug doing alcoholic tramp who neglected her children to pursue sex, drugs, and alcohol - in other words, everything in the video Cleaning Out My Closet and more) and his defense was that it was the truth. Guess who won? I think that is his real appeal - to every kid whose parents didn't give a s*** about them while they did their own things. And Eminem, and also Kid Rock, has/have shared or full custody of their children - turns out Detroit area rappers make excellent fathers. Who knew? Now aren't you sorrry you asked (who else could give you court citations, huh?) and I just gave away the big thesis of my Christian Century paper.
