kapkomet
Let's hope they can start moving forward on some issues and this is just not more posturing. It's time to start moving forward... NHL, NHLPA to meet
Queen Prawn
I hope they can get this done - I could't deal w/ a hockeyless fall/winter...
kapkomet
I hope they can get this done - I could't deal w/ a hockeyless fall/winter... Again ~ they have to get past the posturing and numbers BS and start carving out where they will give and not give. The proposed "cap" is what's going to be the sticking point. If they can't move on that they won't play for months and months and months...
southsider2k5
They just need to be locked in a room, with a tough nuetral guy to moderate. Someone needs to keep reminding them that it will be suicide not to play next year.
The Critic
Here's my impression of this meeting: NHL: "We want to pay players less money." NHLPA: "We like things the way they are." NHL: "See you again in August?" NHLPA: "Yeah, sure, OK, no hurry." Unfortunately, FanOf14, I see NO possible way they reach an agreement without some sort of work stoppage. Neither side is rational.
