Here’s what you can look forward to over the coming weeks on MLB.com:

Week of February 10-14:

• Fantasy Preview 2003: Analysis on over 600 of baseball’s top players -- straight from MLB.com’s fantasy experts. Player rankings and bios will update daily throughout Spring Training, so there is no need to sift through outdated preview magazines the night before your draft.

• Ultimate Fantasy Baseball: $75,000 in prizes are up for grabs in MLB.com’s brand-new Salary Cap game. Select 14 players while staying within your $50 million budget. Drop and pick up new hitters and pitchers throughout the season, as player values go up and down every day. Every division winner takes home a minimum of $50 in cash. Just $19.99 to enter ($17.99 if you register before March 4)

Week of February 17-21:

• Draft and Trade Baseball: Brand new rotisserie-style game with the most innovative live-draft tool on the web. Draft and manage a 26-man team throughout the 2003 season. Play in an AL, NL or Mixed league using a 5x5 (five hitting and five pitching stat categories) scoring system. Challenge your friends or compete in a public league. Only $14.99 to play ($12.99 if you sign up before March 4).

• Basic Fantasy Baseball: Free salary cap game with over $25,000 in total prizes and 500 guaranteed prizewinners. Manage an eight-man roster and make trades throughout the season as you vie for a league title.

Early March:

• Beat the Streak 2003: MLB.com’s most popular fantasy game returns, with no fan having topped a 38-game hitting streak in BTS’s first two seasons. Pick one hitter every day who you think will get a hit. Put together the longest hitting streak while making a run at Joe DiMaggio’s legendary 56-game mark. Win baseball tickets, merchandise and more. Play against your friends in a private league. Sign up is free.

• MLB.com Survivor 2003: Choose one team every day that you think will win its game. Win and move on to the next day. Lose and you are eliminated. The last team standing is the winner. New contests begin every Monday during the season, so if you get knocked out early, you have more than 20 chances to win valuable baseball tickets and memorabilia.

In addition to this hefty lineup, MLB.com’s two most popular interactive games, Perfect Game and SimLeagues, will feature several new twists and turns for the 2003 season.

So wipe away those early February blues and start preparing for what is sure to be an exciting fantasy baseball season.
