Texsox
http://www.themonitor.com/news/minn-56353-...ura-moving.html Miffed by court ruling, Ventura weighs running for president or moving to Mexico November 05, 2011 3:13 AM ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura is so upset by the dismissal of his airport security lawsuit that he threatened Friday to apply for dual citizenship so he can spend more time in his beloved Mexico — or run for president of what he labeled "the Fascist States of America." Ventura sued the federal government in January, alleging that airport scans and pat-downs amounted to unreasonable search and seizure. A district judge in St. Paul threw out his lawsuit Thursday, ruling it should have been filed in a Circuit Court of Appeals. Outside the federal courthouse in St. Paul, with a crew from his "Conspiracy Theory" cable TV show filming, Ventura said he hadn't decided whether to continue pressing his lawsuit. He said he wanted to make his case before a jury not a panel of judges. Ventura has said a titanium hip implanted in him in 2008 sets off metal detectors and that agents previously used hand-held wands to scan his body. He said he was subjected to a body pat-down after an airport metal detector went off last November. Ventura said he hasn't flown since and won't fly commercially again. Ventura, a political independent who served one term as governor, teased that he might have to run for president to change the policy and a court system he regards as broken. Moments later, he vowed to apply for Mexican citizenship so he can live there more months of the year. The former Navy SEAL said he had lost his patriotism. "I will never stand for a national anthem again. I will turn my back and I will raise a fist," he said.

Brian
I was one of the people who thought it was awesome when he was elected Govenor, even though I know nothing about what he wanted to do or his party. Seems to have gone off the deep end a tad, hasn't he? Nobody making anyone stay in this country. Leave when we are down, but don't be expected to be welcomed back when things get better. A work permit was under $100 and could be obtained in a day. Once that is secured you can travel and live anywhere in the country. There are some restrictions on land ownership, but the rest isn't too bad. Until the drug violence escalated I would have accepted a position in the interior without hesitation. Then you also have areas like Lake Chapala which recently had 40,000 ex-pats living there. You don't even have to learn Spanish. Very cheap living. Imagine a nice 2,000 square foot home with modern amenities, a gardener, maid, etc for US $500 per month.

MexSoxFan#1
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 8, 2011 -> 08:05 AM) Along with the job paying $2 an hour/ I seriously doubt Ventura would look for a job like that though, he would live like a king down here and Mexico loves foreigners, especially the well off and famous kind. I think there is a huge misconception among Americans as to what exactly is life in Mexico about, I had them to but ever since my job took me here in central Mexico, it's opened up my eyes, if you have cash, your standard of living won't vary much from a first world country, many American companies are down here, you got Home Depot, Office Depot, Staples, McDonalds, Burger King, Subway, Dairy Queen, WalMart, Costco, Sam's Club, Best Buy, Pizza Hut, Dominos, Little Ceasars, Jack In The Box, Starbucks, Chili's, TGIF, Napa, Autozone etc. Yes, it's still a 3rd world country but there is a middle class and also folks with a whole lot of cash, Ventura would be moving among the elite class here as a former Hollywood star and Govenor, don't feel bad for him if he decides to move here, Tex knows what he's talking about, unfortunatly, most Americans believe Mexico looks exactly like Tijuana....I might also add that there are a lot of white Mexicans, something that I never realized even though my mom was a blue eyed white girl (her Spanish ancestary). This youtube video shows you parts of the state of Sonora and it's population, especially the young female kind. http://m.youtube.com/?client=mv-telcel-mx&...h?v=q5acZnY_XzI Edited November 9, 2011 by MexSoxFan#

The first one I went to was in Reynosa, Tamaulipas. Charcoal grilled deboned half chickens with a fresh salsa bar. They open up along the border on both sides. Hmm, I may have to take a run this weekend.
