bjm676
What's All the fuss with our bullpen? With the exception of Koch, Takatsu and Opening Day, our bullpen has yet to give up any runs. (I think) I don't see why people see it as a weak link. In fact, it may even get better when, or if, Wunsch gets back. Which leads me to this...who goes when he comes back? And do you guys think Mike Jackson would make a good closer? I know he closed long ago for Cleveland back when they were good. Sorry for all the ramblings
NUKE_CLEVELAND
It's mostly Billy Botch that has everyone spazzing and rightly so. Aside from Marte's little blowup the 1st game that's about it really. We already know Marte is money so any criticisim of him based on a 1 time screw up is baseless. We're not in that bad of shape as people think in the pen and we'll get better once Wunsch comes back.
SnB
your right, our bullpen has been pretty solid, minus two games against KC. It's just those 2 games were such big meltdowns, it sticks out in our minds. Games like yesterday need to be remembered by us, 4 quality scoreless innings by our bullpen. israel4ever
The Sox could easily be 8-1 right now, if not for the suspect bullpen. They have blown leads in the 2 of the last 3 wins as well.
Harry Chappas
Cliff-Marte-and Jackson are solid enought to win close games Takatsu-Cotts-Adkins appear to be enough to hold a team when the starter fails early or to give one of the above a rest Koch ----------- I think in the long run this will be the biggest rollar coaster ride for the season. The greater concern is the starting pitching but what the hey we are 6-3.

Wasn't it Buerhle who gave up the lead yesterday? The bullpen pitched 4 scoreless innings.

Yeah bit it was the starters in the last 2 that blew the leads. Marte cleaned up the mess though.

israel4ever
Maybe the starters are getting hit late, cuz Ozzie's apprehensive to go to the Pen. Just a thought.

We've faced some pretty tough lineups since the season started. Things'll get a bit easier here soon though.
