Chisoxfn
Don't ask me what the heck the guys name was, but they said Osborne isn't going to start since he pitched 3 innings yesterday. The person pitching will make his major league debut.

SoxFanForever
Yeah, he later changed what he said and stated that a rookie was making his debut because Osbourne went like 3 innings yesterday.
ChiSox_Sonix
uh-oh and you know how good we do against pitchers with little to no experience

greasywheels121
Seriously, what is this guy doing in the Yankees rotation? They were relying on Jon Leiber to be in the starting rotation to start out '0, and he didn't come through.
Reddy
honestly it is a bit scary, we're never ever (almost ever) good against pitchers we've never seen before. Frankly as far as statistics go its a good move by the yanks
UofIChiSox
I agree Reddy. If we haven't seen em, we can hardly ever beat em.
BrandoFan
Anyone have any idea of what he throws? I don't know, but it's probably gonna be something breaking and on the outer part of the plate.
greasywheels121
I agree Reddy. If we haven't seen em, we can hardly ever beat em. We took care of DePaula without seeing him before on the road.
ChiSox_Sonix
We took care of DePaula without seeing him before on the road. for 3 innings. Then he shut us down
greasywheels121
It was enough to get us the win.... Plus, this time we have Buerhle on the bump. We'll be fine.

BrandoFan
LHP Alex Graman making his MLB debut for the Yankees. Tuesday is a must-win game. Either Buehle or Garland have to step up and Sox must pound the lefty rookie. Then, there will be a greater fan interest/media momentum going into games 2 and 3 -- all Sox have to do then is to split them. Must win for sure. Gene Honda Civic
It'll help that he's a lefty... I took a look at his ST stats, and he had and ERA over ten, with 5IP, in 3 appearences... From that I gather that he didn't see much "A" game action, and was quickly optionned... He's not old, so that decreases the chances that he's a soft-tossing "junk-baller" (ala Moyer) that we've always had trouble wit in the past. I expect us to put up some decent numbers on him. It would help to have Frank's bat in the line-up, for both his patience and ability to hit lefties.
gettysburg32
This guy's a Sycamore, kinda makes it tough for me to root against him (I'm a Terre Haute, Ind native). There aren't too many ISU MLB players out there, lol. I hope he gets a chance this year and does really well for the Yanks, just not on Tuesday. And oh yeah... :fthecubs
Reddy
Brando... buehrle doesnt need to "step up" he just needs to throw a good game... what are you talking about???
Gene Honda Civic
Here's the whole colubus teams stat's -- The formatting in the HTML was terrible, so I couildn't easily chop out what I wanted -- He's had a great ERA, and K/9In. ratio in his first 2 appearences. He does have some walks, and not a lot of IP, so I would guess that he gets his pitchcount up early... If we're patient, we should be able to knock him around, and hopefully out early. ------------- 2004 Individual Statistics - Columbus Clippers Complete through Sunday, Apr 18 Batters BA SLG G AB R H TB 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO SB CS E S.Torrealba .462 1.000 4 13 3 6 13 1 0 2 4 0 3 0 0 0 D.Bragg .364 .545 9 33 8 12 18 4 1 0 2 4 9 0 0 1 D.Parrish .333 .500 3 6 2 2 3 1 0 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 T.Betts .294 .471 9 34 4 10 16 0 0 2 6 4 5 0 0 0 C.Cosme .290 .355 8 31 4 9 11 2 0 0 2 1 7 0 0 1 J.Deardorff .280 .520 7 25 5 7 13 0 0 2 6 2 7 1 0 2 F.Escalona .280 .360 8 25 1 7 9 2 0 0 5 4 1 0 1 1 H.Bush .250 .292 7 24 3 6 7 1 0 0 3 1 4 1 0 0 S.Fasano .250 .500 5 12 1 3 6 0 0 1 2 1 3 0 0 0 B.Myrow .250 .643 8 28 3 7 18 3 1 2 4 5 6 0 0 1 J.Rodriguez .222 .444 8 27 4 6 12 1 1 1 3 2 7 1 0 1 M.Vento .182 .303 8 33 2 6 10 1 0 1 1 0 5 0 0 0 M.Kelly .077 .077 4 13 1 1 1 0 0 0 0 1 2 0 0 0 Pitchers W-L ERA G GS CG GF SH SV IP H R ER HR BB SO WP C.Bean 0-0 0.00 3 0 0 1 0 0 6.0 2 0 0 0 2 7 0 H.Izquierdo 0-0 0.00 4 0 0 2 0 0 6.1 3 0 0 0 1 4 0 J.Padilla 1-0 0.00 1 0 0 0 0 0 2.0 1 0 0 0 1 1 0 B.Prinz 0-0 0.00 2 0 0 1 0 0 3.0 1 0 0 0 2 3 0 A.Graman 0-2 0.90 2 2 0 0 0 0 10.0 5 5 1 0 6 14 0 S.Proctor 1-0 1.29 4 0 0 1 0 0 7.0 4 1 1 1 4 8 0 N.Rodriguez 1-0 1.50 1 1 0 0 0 0 6.0 3 1 1 1 1 6 0 S.Marsonek 0-0 2.25 3 0 0 1 0 1 4.0 2 1 1 1 2 2 0 J.Mann 1-0 3.38 4 0 0 1 0 0 5.1 8 2 2 1 0 4 0 B.Halsey 0-0 6.52 2 2 0 0 0 0 9.2 11 7 7 0 4 6 1 J.Rodriguez 0-1 7.71 1 1 0 0 0 0 4.2 7 4 4 0 2 6 0 R.Ramirez 0-2 12.91 2 2 0 0 0 0 7.2 10 11 11 3 7 8 1 A.Beal 0-0 13.50 1 1 0 0 0 0 4.0 8 6 6 0 1 4 0 M.Thurman 0-0 15.43 2 0 0 0 0 0 2.1 5 4 4 1 2 2
