Soxbadger
lol Because the first series was 4 games and I forgot they split instead of going 2-1? Sorry but that only further enforces the point that most of our losses have been to the best team in the AL, meaning there is no reason to start ligning up for the guillotine. Mathew
Jon Rauch, Felix Diaz, Willie Harris, all sorts of neat s*** like that. I wouldn't trade for him now with Montral still "in" the race, but come mid-to-late June when they are easily out of it, look to make a Carl Everett/Robbie Alomar type deal with Montreal. They can be robbed, and KW has done it before...I mean, Bartolo Colon, coming off a 20-win season with an ERA of under 3.00 for essentially Rocky Biddle(who had been mediocre with us), Jeff Liefer(who has since gone from Montreal to Tampa Bay to I believe Milwaukee), Antonio Osuna(who was mediocre for the Yanks), and Delvys Lantingua(and I have no f***ing clue what he has done for Columbus or wherever the hell he is nowadays). Given, they had to unload him, but if you can sugarcoat a deal well enough, you could get him. Give them Harris, Rauch, and Wright...personally, I could see them biting. They might not make it right now, but wait 2-2 1/2 months, and I think that trade will become a lot more attractive, when all New York is willing to do is give straight cash for him(what else do they have to give Montreal?). But I suppose if we have to, I'll take Junior Spivey too. How bad did they really get ripped off? They are the only team that has any of those players left. Reddy
nobody gets it. A lead off man does NOT need a high BA. He needs a high OBP. Now, i'm not saying willie particularly fits this categorty either, and i think Uribe is much better suited to lead off. But i'm just throwing this out there so yall know. EvilJester99
There is a guy out there right now the Sox should sign for league minimum and then when he proves he is healthy enough to play resign him to a better deal and have him play 2B for them. Aaron Boone. His natural postion is 2B but can play 3rd.

Aaron Boone. His natural postion is 2B but can play 3rd. Rumor is that the Yankees are going to work out a Leiber type deal where they give him the minimum this year and like $5 mil next year. I doubt we have the money to give Boone this type of a deal.
EvilJester99
That is too bad because Boone is much better than Harris and Uribe. IMO
SoxAce
That is too bad because Boone is much better than Harris and Uribe. IMO As of right now yes, but Uribe is gonna be somethin in the near future.
EvilJester99
Well I am hoping Uribe takes Valentin's spot at SS after this year....
southsider2k5
That is too bad because Boone is much better than Harris and Uribe. IMO Boone is a good 2B. Too bad he will never play any meaningful games with the Sox.
witesoxfan
How bad did they really get ripped off? They are the only team that has any of those players left. That's the logic I used when I made the Foulke for Koch comparison and how it turned out. But that one does make a little sense too...we still have all 3 players from that deal, and Oakland has lost all 3 players from that deal. New York lost Osuna and they may or may not have Lantigua(I am not sure), and El Duque never threw a pitch for Montreal, while Jeff Liefer was not good for them at all. They only have Rocky Biddle, and he has been very mediocre for them to say the least(he had a 4.50 ERA 1.50 WHIP or so with them last year...that's quite bad for a reliever). We no longer have Colon. Big deal. Kenny(and Cashman and Steinbrenner) took the Expos to the cleaners in that deal.
