Torres will be sent to Charlotte. It is unclear who will be removed from the Knights roster to make room for Torres. Torres, 26, spent part of the 2002, 2003, and 2004 season with the Tigers. This season he played in 3 games with the Tigers and failed to get a hit. In 2003 he played 59 games with the big league club and hit .220 with 1 HR and 9 RBI. Torres is a career .262 hitter in the minor leagues with 13 HR, 169 RBI, and 207 stolen bases. Torres was originally a 35th round draft pick by the Toronto Blue Jays.
