BrandoFan
Does anyone know if the rumors of the frayed labrum are bogus or not? How certainly did get smashed in ST and is pretty bad so far this year. Making about 7 Mill, too.
The Critic
I just wonder how much of his early struggle is due to coming into camp heavy? Maybe he saw Colon's huge contract ( and ass ) and said HEY, I CAN DO THAT TOO!

Gene Honda Civic
One bad start does not a season make.
BrandoFan
One bad start does not a season make. Oh crap -- here I was thinking the season is over.... Same as Colon, Ponson will be lucky to break the 4.00 ERA mark. Do you think it's worth 3/24 or whatever he got if you're the Sox?

Do you think it's worth 3/24 or whatever he got if you're the Sox? NO not at all --- I was arguing as loud as I could against Ponson -- I even went so far as comparing every one of his starts to JG -- to prove that JG was just as good -- I wouldn't have minded having Ponson on the team, but the economics just were'nt going to be compatible with this franchise. BrandoFan
but the economics just were'nt going to be compatible with this franchise There was also reason to believe that he would have charged the Sox a little extra....O's got the home discount. And then there's frayed labrum issue....
YASNY
I seem to recall, this was one of the moves Williams got ripped for not making.

Do you think it's worth 3/24 or whatever he got if you're the Sox? Pitching in a hitters park doesn't help much, still that's where he's best results have been, and the Orioles need him to perform to help out their bullpen. BrandoFan
I seem to recall, this was one of the moves Williams got ripped for not making. Kenny f*cked this team in the ass in 2001-2002 alright, and it continues to haunt the Sox each time Wells, Foulke, Konerko, etc take the field......But not paying big chunks of payroll to Colon, Ponson, Sullivan and Everett should NOT be held against him.
