SoxAce
He and Miles just needed a change of scenery. Miles is getting playing time and is hitting very well in Colorado, and Uribe is proving that he doesn't need Colorado's thin air to hit homers or drive in runs. It's a win-win for both clubs IMO. You are correct, so far. However, I like the chances of this deal becoming more favorable to us over the long term. Uribe could nail down that SS position for several years. It was high risk for both teams, but both teams look to hav gotten sum reward, us more than them.
BrandoFan
Miles is a not a ML material IMO. Uribe kicks his ass on Defense, on the pads and lately at the plate as well. And, at 24, there is a chance BB might actually, gasp, IMPROVE....
DonkeyKongerko
Agreed, I think Uribe is still a pretty raw talent. He's definitely got the tools but somehow never put it all together. He's definitely got tons more upside than Miles, I think Colorado just gave up on him.
Gene Honda Civic
Caught the replay of Sunday's game yesterday -- Specifically in the last AB -- Uribe in his stance/swing-type reminds me a lot of Albert Belle --- I'm not comparing thier offensive prowess -- but the way he swings the bat, he looks more like a Baby Belle than a Baby berroa to me.
