All You Can Eat?

A COUPLE on a low-carb diet were kicked out of an American buffet restaurant after the manager said they'd eaten too much roast beef.

Sui Amaama, who along with his wife have been on the Atkins Diet for two weeks, was asked to leave after he went up to the buffet at the Chuck-A-Rama in Salt Lake City, Utah, for his 12th slice of roast beef.

"It's so embarrassing actually," said Isabelle Leota, Amaama's wife.

"We went in to have dinner, we were under the impression Chuck-A-Rama was an all-you-can-eat establishment."

Not so, said Jack Johanson, the restaurant chain's district manager.

"We've never claimed to be an all-you-can-eat establishment," said Johanson.

"Our understanding is a buffet is just a style of eating."

The general manager who was carving the meat on Tuesday became concerned about having enough for other patrons and asked Amaama to stop, Johanson said.

Offended, the couple asked for a refund. The manager refused and called police when they would not leave.

The couple said they have eaten at Chuck-A-Rama's $US8.99 ($12.25) buffet at least twice a week, but did not plan to return.

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm, hey dumbass. If you eat that much meat you will GAIN weight. Dr. Atkins died at 258 pounds. There have been no medical studies that prove this works. So take your $36 a week you save from not going to that resturant, and by yourself some running shoes you fat bastard.

The issue will most restrictive diets is they rarely have a lifelong reach. Restricting calories, getting some excercise, and eating a variety of healthy foods, will work all your life and help all your systems.

Now, how can a buffet not be all-you-can eat? I remember an Italian Restaurant when I was in college. The Chinese owner saw a bunch of ultra skinny cross country runners walk and and he figured he'd make a ton of money on us. His Al-You-Could Eat Pasta bar was the same night we needed to carbo load for weekend races. After about an hour he was saying you go home, you eat to much, you get fat! He turned into a big supporter and even comped a few meals, (oops, that would be against NCAA rules, I didn't mean it) :D
