Queen Prawn
Sounds interesting - wonder if there will be a special on Discovery about the quest afterwards... There was a show on Discovery about the search for the Ark, but this was a couple years ago.
Wong & Owens
**Skepticism Warning** Please, what a waste of time and money. There was no stinkin boat built that held two of every species on Earth, and there was no world-wide flood for which it was allegedly built. Will they be digging for Adam and Eve's bones next? Not like it will matter--the people pushing for this won't ever admit that it isn't the ark anyways, much like how they can't let go of the shroud of Turin. Just my $.

Just my $.02 there could be a boat that big, if only he lived for 20,000 years to build it before the flood started, didnt he suposidly build it on his own?? sox4lifeinPA
man, what a waste of money... let's go back to wasting our money on legitimate things...like political campaigns........................................................................................... ......................................... edit: oh yeah..... Queen Prawn
It's still searching for history. Exactly! I am more interested in their research before starting this trek, the methods used while in the field and what they find (as in relics, fossils, if anything). Wong & Owens
It's still searching for history. But if you are of the opinion that there never was an ark, then there is no history to be looking for. It would be akin to some group of scientists claiming they think there are fire-breathing dragon remains 10,000 feet below Antarctica. Queen Prawn
or that humans are descendants of monkeys? Actually the evolution theory is that monkeys and humans are decended from the same 'line' so to speak. Not that humans are decended from monkeys. And for whatever it's worth, I do believe in evolution. But I do think God started the whole thing so I guess what I believe is that they are inter-related... Wong & Owens
or that humans are descendants of monkeys? If U.S. States represented the amount of scientific data we have in support of either theory A) That Noah's Ark did exist, in a form close to its description in the bible, or theory B)That humans and apes have common ancestors, Then theory A would be represented by Rhode Island, and theory B would be represented by Alaska. That humans and monkeys have common ancestors is almost indisputable. You want to call it an opinion, fine, say hi to the burning bush for me. That humans and monkeys have common ancestors is almost indisputable. You want to call it an opinion, fine, say hi to the burning bush for me. here's one of my favorite pieces of scriptures in the bible. It's from a prominent Jewish leader warning other unbelievers. very appropo. a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, who was honored by all the people, stood up in the Sanhedrin and ordered that the men be put outside for a little while. 35Then he addressed them: "Men of Israel, consider carefully what you intend to do to these men. 36Some time ago Theudas appeared, claiming to be somebody, and about four hundred men rallied to him. He was killed, all his followers were dispersed, and it all came to nothing. 37After him, Judas the Galilean appeared in the days of the census and led a band of people in revolt. He too was killed, and all his followers were scattered. 38Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. 39But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God." just curious, aren't theories something to be tested? so why would you not want to test this theory? even if for just scientific and historical reasons? why all the commotion unless there's something to hide? just saying

sox4lifeinPA
It is tested regularly - genetics, fossils, etc. Methinks I misunderstood something along the way... I never debated evolution... It's not my style. I was simply following ghost's logic that just because someone doesn't believe in it doesn't mean it shouldn't be tested or it doesn't exist at all. I was saying that some people believe that humans were created by God, and did not evolve. But if you are of the opinion that there never was an ark, then there is no history to be looking for. It would be akin to some group of scientists claiming they think there are fire-breathing dragon remains 10,000 feet below Antarctica. some people would say humans from monkeys is akin to dragons in antarctica my point is just that that is terrible logic. it was also that why would someone care about research into demything something like this. I would think evolutionist and/or anti-christians would love to discover the truth that there's no ark. and if not, what are they afraid of? comprende? I WAS ONLY SPEAKING OF THIS PARTICULAR ISSUE. A WORLD-WIDE FLOOD, OF WHICH NO PROOF CAN BE FOUND, CAUSES "ALL" LIFE TO BE WIPED OUT EXCEPT A BIG BOAT, ON WHICH TWO OF EVERY LIVING SPECIES CAN BE FOUND. C'MON, THIS ISN'T A "MY OPINION VS. YOUR OPINION" THING, IT'S COMMON SENSE. I was saying that some people believe that humans were created by God, and did not evolve. **AND(I'M SORRY), THOSE PEOPLE ARE SCARED, STUBBORN, AND IGNORANT. some people would say humans from monkeys is akin to dragons in antarctica **SEE ABOVE ANSWER it was also that why would someone care about research into demything something like this. I would think evolutionist and/or anti-christians would love to discover the truth that there's no ark. and if not, what are they afraid of? **I'M NOT AFRAID AT ALL. IT WON'T MATTER THAT THEY'LL FIND THAT IT'S NOT THE ARK--THE SAME GROUP THAT STICKS BY THE SHROUD OF TURIN, EVEN THOUGH 4,983 CARBON TESTS HAVE SHOWN IT'S NOWHERE NEAR OLD ENOUGH, WILL JUST TAKE WHATEVER THEY FIND ON THE MOUNTAIN, LOCK IT UP IN A SAFE, CLAIM IT'S LEGIT, AND WON'T LET SCIENTISTS WITHIN 30 FEET OF IT. I DON'T RECALL WHO'S DOING THIS EXPEDITION, OR WHERE THE MONEY IS COMING FROM, BUT IF PUBLIC FUNDS ARE INVOLVED, I'D BE KIND OF IRRITATED.
