DBAHO
As good of a hitter as Soriano is, he's not the type of player we need. He's a free swinging right handed power hitter with a very questionable glove. We need some one that can play defense, get on base, steal a base, situationally hit, etc. We certainly don't need to trade good young pitching for someone like Soriano. With the way Texas is playin rite now I'm not even sure Texas will trade him. They couldn't get Kazmir from the Mets for him, and they'd want a stud pitchin prospect AT LEAST for him. I'm not sure any team would actually do that now with the importance of young pitching.
Al Lopez Ghost (old)
harris might never hit the ball hard but the bottom line is we are most likey going to be stuck with him at least till the all star break..... and he is really good at defense and when he gets on base he is always a threat to steal and thats what ozzie is looking for.... I don't think you can say Willie "is really good" on defense. He does range well to his right, but otherwise he can be shaky out there. He's really good at running. I'd sure keep him over Dransfeldt, but if this is all he's gonna hit, he won't be able to keep his starting job.
BrandoFan
As good of a hitter as Soriano is, he's not the type of player we need Right. On one hand, the guy's got loads of potential and would be a draw, both in terms of atttendance, merch sales and national attention. On the other....Sox don't really need his ass to win ALC and we all remember how he performed under pressure, against quality pitching in the '03 playoffs..... :puke He's a FA after 2005, no? If it takes Rauch and Wing to get him, I'll do it tomorrow. If, more likely, Rangers will ask for Honel, Cotts and Diaz, then f*** them. Michael Young is an intriguing choice, but he's cheap and frankly not as good as his current production, so there is a possibility Sox will overpay and will regret it.
