Chisoxfn
Diaz is pitching like a madman. He's got to be the first in line for a call up if the Sox look towards Charlotte. Wow is he dominating. We knew he always had the stuff, but now its looking like he's putting it together and actually pitching.

Wow is he dominating. We knew he always had the stuff, but now its looking like he's putting it together and actually pitching. he didn't sound very impressive at the start of todays game, but he got on a roll and displayed some great control too. the announcer said he threw 98 pitches - 73 for strikes. danman31
In Game 1 of the DH Bham won 6-3 over West Tenn (Cubs). Morse went 3-5, he is batting .343. The Diamond Jaxx had 14 hits, 12 off of Heath Phillips who pitching 5.2 innings, yet only scored 3 runs. Box Score Bham got the sweep over the Cubs' affiliate with a 4-0 win. Ulacia in what I am guessing was Honel's spot pitched 6 shutout innings, Kris Keller and Brian McNichol sealed the deal. They combined to only give up 3 hits. Not exactly sure what you are looking for, but a good source of info on all Minor League teams is Minor League Baseball. It lists all teams, by classification and by affiliate. Guest JimH
Baj strikes out the side last nite for the save in Game 2. This guy looks like he can contribute here in Chicago if need be. He's been coming on like gangbusters since last year.
Knights11
Diaz was overpowering at times last night after a slow start. The only runs he allowed were on a four base-throwing error by Burke (Don't see that everyday). Burke fielded a bunt and overthrew first...Borchard was backing up, but the throw was so strong it went all the way into the corner and the batter scored. Bell's grand slam in the first was just fair (i think it was foul, but I wasn't complaining), but other than that, not much offense. Valentin had some good at bats where he worked the count a bit before making outs. Knights have won 4 of 5 and are back to .500! btw, the knights played louisville, not columbus. They are affiliated with the Reds.
