i gotta go with diaz

I agree with J.Reed about Cotts, but I am not sold on bringing up Diaz. As good as he is, I think he is a young guy that will be better off staying in AAA for now. Rauch on the other hand is down to his last option (I believe), and Grilli is an older guy too.

So I feel we should see where we stand with those two, before we turn to the young guys.

As for Cotts, like I said, I agree he would not be a bad choice. I would like to see him to continue working on his control out of the pen before we throw him into the fray.

Birmingham has three catchers, so one of them is probably headed to Charlotte. Danny, since he pitched today, probably won't be activated on Charlotte's roster for a few days, allowing them to add another catcher before they have to move someone else.

My guess is Aceves. He is an organizational type guy who tends to get bounced wherever they need him. He also plays the least of the three Birmingham catchers.

Damn, I read an article from a link on another website (sorry, i don't have the address) that says that Ozzie just said the purpose of this is for Danny to get some work in between starts, nothing permanent.

f***. :fyou

HE CAN'T START! QUIT TRYING TO FORCE A SQUARE PEG INTO A ROUND HOLE! IT'S NOT HAPPENIN'!

One song comes to mind:

Nah Nah Nah Nah, Nah Nah Nah Nah.

HEY HEY HEY

GOOD BYE! :headbang

directed at one of our own?

can't buy that

DW never went out there to try and lose

one can want him not starting or not itching as much as one wants and want him sent down as much as one wants but to taunt someone when they are as down as down can be, one of our own -

not cool

not cool at all

My apologies, I didn't mean for it be mean-spirited.

I am as much of a Sox supporter as anyone. I will NEVER, EVER, cheer for a person/team to lose, in any state of mind.

I just really have never liked the guy (not personal or anything, just the way he pitches), even during his 14 win season. His velocity isn't so high as he can just blow it by hitters, his control/movement has never been very good either IMO.

That being said, I do think there's a spot for him in the bullpen. He's succeeded there, and I think there's a lot of us on this board who feel that way.

Sorry that you took it harshly. My apologies, I'll try to word it differently next time.

My take, but then again what do I know?

Burke is up now, but in two days Jose will be back, so either Burke or Dransfelt go back down. The FutureSox blurb said that it left Charlotte's infield thin, but they will have one of those guys back soon.

I'm happy Wright is gone for now. I am starting to think that those 14 wins were a fluke and the 12 losses were not, as are most of you.

As for the four man rotation, if they can do it, fine, because I think that so far each of those four guys have given us a good chance to win the vast majority of the games they start while Wright has not and another completely unproven fifth most likely would not.

cool, thanks for your further words and hey, we're ok, that is a great context

I hope he gets it together

whatever, after today's performance as I said elsewhere we can't let him go on Todd Ritchie style, something needed to be done and I hope this move works because he had nothing, nothing today and has had little other than his last start which wasn't so hot anyway

thanks again
