BobDylan
http://www.whitesoxcentral.com Danny Wright Optioned to AAA WhiteSoxCentral Report - 5/2/04 Danny Wright, who is 0-4 with an 8.15 ERA was sent down to AAA after allowing 6 ER in just 3 IP against the Toronto Blue Jays today. The White Sox recalled catcher Jamie Burke from AAA. Burke, 33, will serve as the White Sox 3rd catcher behind Miguel Olivo and Sandy Alomar Jr. In 15 games with the White Sox, Burke has batted .308 with 0 HR and 2 RBI. The move, sources said, is because of the unnecessary need of a fifth starter in the next few weeks. As of now, Neal Cotts will remain in the bullpen, and the White Sox will work with a four man staff of Loaiza, Buehrle, Garland and Schoeneweis. Furthermore, indication is that top prospect Jeremey Reed will remain in the minors unless he is called upon for everyday duties.

CubsSuck1
Time to rejoice. Who starts in the 5 spot? I'm guessing Cotts, but Adkins is another possibility.

Sounds like the Sox are gonna go with a 4 man rotation for the time being. Ozzie was talking like this was not going to be a long stay at AAA for Danny. southsider2k5
Well this it the chance for Diaz and/or Rauch to make their case for Chicago. I'll bet Diaz is next in line right now.

danman31
ESPN.com has Cotts listed as starting May 5th. This could be wrong, but maybe they know something we don't.

Rex Hudler
ESPN.com has Cotts listed as starting May 5th. This could be wrong, but maybe they know something we don't. Someone will have to start that game and it probably will be Cotts. The rainout pushed Buehrle back a day, so unless they go with 3 days rest, someone will have to make a spot start Wed. Chisoxfn
I'd guess Cotts would be the guy. Him or Adkins and I think Cotts has earned the shot at the spot start. I don't know if Neal is going to stay in the rotation, I still got a feeling we'll see Wright back up pretty quick. Rex, quick question for you; How long does Wright have to be in Charlotte for it to count as an option?

Rooftop Shots
Ozzie was talking like this was not going to be a long stay at AAA for Danny. No doubt!! That's probably the most depressing quote I've read on Sox Talk in a while!! Who knows!! Maybe that quote means he'll go to AA instead!!!! YASNY
Ozzie on Wright: "If Danny throws the ball the way he threw the ball in spring training, he will be back," Guillen said. "If not, he is going to be [at Triple-A Charlotte] for a little while. I don't see the aggressiveness. [saturday] he was flat. I want him to get the command."
