Teams tied with us, one

Teams behind us, I don't give a s***.

Let the Sox get it done, without worrying about hte Indians.

This year if they had a red hot Milton Bradley then mayb, but in 2 years watch out. Sabathia and Cliff Lee will be good #1, #2 starters, Jake Westbrook looks like he's turned the corner as well. They'll hav a great young outfield with Gutierrez and Sizemore, and if Phillips can get his head together and hit they'll be dangerous.

They definitely have an outstanding farm system. They're stacked.

But for the time being, they're the worst team in the American League, and it'll take until at least 2006 for them to become a good team. But I'm hoping that they take a s***, similar to that of Detroit back in 96 and 97. God damn, were they stacked. All of those extraordinary prospects, and not one of them worked out, if I recall correctly.

The thing is with the Tribe, if they are competitive and the fans get behind them, they'll hav the most revenue and most likely the biggest payroll in our division. They've been willin to spend before with Belle, Lofton etc., they'll do it again if they think they can win a World Series. I think they hav another top 10 pick in this year's draft and they should be targetting pitching, which is most of the depth is in this year's crop.

looking over some draft discussions on other websites, did you know Rice has three pitchers that are projected to go in the top 10?

thats insane...

Didn't Rice win the championship last year.

Makes sense

I also saw some guy who was playng for Cal State Fullerton last year is now a reliever on the Expos.

Jeff Weaver's brother, Jared I think his name is, is pretty much a lock to go to San Diego at #1, he'll hav a lot of success at PETCO Park in the future.

Rice won it last year over Stanford, and yea the Expos reliever's name is Chad Cordero...

I think him and Ryan Wagner from Cinci are the only players from last years draft to make a major league roster... really makes you feel bad for the Ross Gload's of the world who it took like 10 years to get to the majors when these kids are getting drafted and playing right away.

College relievers almost jumping to the big leagues straight away now, I think David Aardsma of the Giants mite be another. Of course we drafted Royce Ring, and he's pitchin for the New York Mets AAA team.

What does Weaver feature???

Taken From Brewerfan.net

#3 college pitcher & overall player according to Baseball America. #4 college prospect according to TeamOne Baseball. Summer All-American after pitching 45.2 scoreless innings for Team USA. A first-team preseason All-American according to BA. Finished the summer with a .38 ERA in 7 appearances, all starts. Younger brother of Los Angeles Dodgers RHP Jeff. Resembles his big brother in size & stuff. Exhibits outstanding command, limiting baserunners, both via hits & walks. Throws in the low 90s and has touched 96. Has a decent slider, curveball & changeup, although he lacks a true out pitch, which may prevent him from becomming a true power pitcher. If he starts to flash a dominant breaking ball this spring, likely his slider, he could easily be the #1 pick come June given his size & command. Could be advised by Scott Boras, which could cause him to fall.
