elrockinMT
Does anyone know the wording of the opening disclaimer the public address announcer reads before a MLB game? It goes something like "don't reach onto the field for a fair ball, not responsible if your noggin gets whacked by a batted ball", etc. I am a volunteer announcer for an American Legion level baseball team and try to make it fun for the players and fans. I thought it would be fun to read the announcement before the game starts, but I can't find it on the internet. Can anyone help me? I want to use it at tonight's game. Thanks! elrockinMT
just read the stuff off of the back of the ticket. Thanks Cheat, but you have to be in a place that has baseball right now and have an old ticket. I don't and don't. Do you or maybe some else out there has one? DonkeyKongerko
My old ticket doesnt seem to have that information: If the White Sox score a run in the 4th inning of today's game, you are the winner of a FREE Medium Cup of Dunkin' Donuts Coffee. You will still win even if the White Sox do not score in the 4th inning because this ticket can be redeemed for six (6) FREE donuts when you buy a dozen donuts at regular price. Chisoxfn
If no one posts it by the time I get home, I'll take a look at one of my old ticket stubs and post it on here for ya
Soxbadger
All fans running onto the field will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. That one everyone likes to hear. SB

Steff
I'm looking on the back of my ticket from the weekend and it doesn't say anything about being ejected from the park on it.
Soxbadger
Announcers say it at the game, maybe not at the opening but I thought elrockin just wanted some fun things to say. The ticket says the boiler plate, if you break the rules your ticket is void, blah blah. SB
Steff
This is what the back says... This ticket is revocable license and is subject to denial of admission upon refund of face value and subject to removal and revocation at the managements discretion. Holder assumes all risk incidental to the game of baseball whether occurring prior to, or during, or after the game, including (but not exclusively) the danger of being injured by or in connection with any thrown bat or thrown or batted ball. Holder agrees that MLB, teams, players, and agents are not liable for any resulting injuries. And the last paragraph is about not being able to tape games and that if you are taped while in attendance your likeness might be used form promotional purposes

SB I am going to use that and you are right about me just wanting to be funny for the fans and players, but I thought the announcement that said don't interfere with a ball in play, theow things on the field, etc, would be cool too. I also got your stuff down Steff and will use that too. I'll keep checking here to see if any more gets posted. I still have about an hour before the game. Peace be with you all.
