Texsox
All Washington scandals can be judged by who takes the fall and the Iraqi prisoner scandal must be big time. A time honored tradition is the party in power to offer someone's head on a platter and it looks like it will be Rumsfeld. Bush has come out and attacked him for the manner in which he kept Bush informed. This should be interesting. I'll bet we are going to be in for a ride and election year politics isn't going to help this at all. President Bush has told Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld that he was "not satisfied" at the way he received information about charges that Iraqi prisoners had been abused by U.S. soldiers at Abu Ghraib prison, a senior administration official told CNN. "He was not happy, and he let Secretary Rumsfeld know about it," the official said. CNN lead story; link will change
EvilMonkey
I think it is more like it is the Republican time honored tradition to offer a head on a platter. The Democrats just say they are sorry and expect everyone to forgive and forget. But that only works for Democrats. Trent Lott tried that, and it didn't work. The only Democratic head to be served lately was Toracelli (?), the Senator out east who was forced to withdraw from the election by the 'people in charge' because he would have lost if he ran to the end.
