I'm not sure if it is sold out yet, but on March 31, Queens of the Stone Age and Zwan will be performing at the largest auditorium in the midwest, Braden Auditorium, on the Illinois State University campus! This show is gonna kick major ass!!!

No dates or cities have been announced, but Chicago will be on the bill according to Q-101..... a suck ass radio station in Chicago.

Heather, if i were you I'd be getting tickets to that right now, as in RIGHT NOW!!!

Oh, I beat you to the punch! I got tickets a half hour after they went on sale to ISU students. :headbang

Is Dave Grohl touring with Queens or are the Foo Fighters touring for their new album? Who's the Queen's drummer if he's not touring with them?

I know he doesn't tour with them, but I don't know who does.

Cali, do you listen to Sparta? (It used to be At the Drive In but they have a new singer) cuz they are opening for Pearl Jam here.  I almost feel guilty that I want to get tickets to the show just to see Sparta.

never heard of them, though I am listening to a band called "Thursday" on a recomendation, which are compared to ATDI... they're alright, I'll have to listen some more, but I'm liking what I hear so far

Thursday is pretty good. Check out Sparta, best song has gotta be "Light Burns Clear".

God damn Ticketmaster and their god damn $5.50 "convience charge."  s***, I don't think I can afford this and I'd rather go see Chevelle, Disturbed, Taproot, and Unloco at the PCC, anyways.

Oh that'll be a good show... :D

I saw Disturbed at a bar in Chicago just before they got huge and damn, they were good. They're a pretty good live show, Chevelle ain't bad for being a bunch of sissy pricks from Chicago's suburbs and Taproot is all right... I've never heard of Unloco, so no comment... Either way, I assume it will be cheaper than Zwan and the Queens of Stone Age, since I won't have to pay b**** ass Ticketmaster as the Civic Center is about a 20 minute walk from where I live.

I was in Iowa City last night and saw Rooney, OK Go, and The Donnas and it was awesome. The Donnas leave a little to be desired in terms of the live, on stage presence, but OK Go was well worth the $15 admission.

Well I have no concerts coming up anytime soon, but got a lot of good albums coming out in the next month or so, so how many new albums have you already purchased in 2003 already dub? :D

Speaking of Concerts, I just saw the preliminary list for ozzfest 2003:

Main Stage:

Ozzy Osbourne

KoRn

Marilyn Manson

Disturbed

Chevelle

Second Stage:

Cradle of Filth

Trust Company

Shadows Fall :headbang

Killswitch Engage :headbang

Nothingface

Finger Eleven

Hotwire

Grade 8

Twisted Method

Unloco

Memento

Man NOBODY on the main stage is worth a s***, doesn't matter I didn't stay to see the main stage anyway, second stage aint much better, the only bands I'd want to see are Killswitch Engage and Shadows Fall, really not worth the money hopefully they'll add some other good bands and I'll cough up the dough, I can't beleive f***in Trust Company are headlining the second stage, that is horrible, last year was awesome second stage, Meshuggah Hatebreed and Down were headlining, not to mention they had The Apex Theory .

I saw Disturbed at Champs in Burbank just before they made it big, and I remember telling my wife that I just saw one of the most horrible bands I'd ever seen. The little dwarf singer had a nylon on his head and was posing like he was huge s***. Imagine my surprise when I saw that "WHaaa-aa-aa-aa" video on MTV not three weeks later. Shows that I don't have the ear for "popular music", I guess, but I still think they eat ass.
