Steff
Someone give us a report, as I can't get the station down here. Same as I said earlier this week. No talks with the Sox. He's just... 'there'. He's pitching well. About 3mph off. He sounds sad... He understands the Sox position, but he's a ML pitcher. Doesn't want to be in AAA as a back up (especially with what they are paying him) He'll find out Monday more. Wants to be back in Chicago. The Beast
Should bring up him and Diaz and send Burke and Jackson down. Jackson is a veteran who is in his final years and would probably understand the situation.
Rowand44
Jackson is a veteran who is in his final years and would probably understand the situation. Except he's pitched real well.
The Beast
Except he's pitched real well. It pays respect to a player who has done things in our system for the past few years. I don't care what any of you think, but whenever I see him pitch, he gets the guys out that he needs to. Not to mention he did not do the WORST in 2000, either. A great success story, he switched to sidearm in the bullpen while fooling around, which added on 10-15 miles per hour on his mph.

The more I think of it the Sox really aren't treating Kelly so badly. By DL'ing I believe he's still earning MLB service time. If they were PO'd they could have outrighted him shortly after he started appearing in some games. I'd like to see him back because I feel a situational lefty can be very valuable. I like the option of taking on a good right handed hitter in the middle innings without burning Marte for the night. After he gets his guy, turn it over to Politte and you've still got Damaso and the kerosine kid for crunch time. I think Adkins would draw the short straw because Jackson and Cotts can handle his role. He's only made 6 appearances and Mike and Neal could use some more work. Let's see what happens Monday.
