Kelly Wunsch activated, then optioned to Charlotte

Myself I would rather see Cotts get his shot at being the #5 and bring Wunsch back to the pen.

That was kind of my feeling too. I thought possibly Cotts would be sent down to get stretched out as a starter and Wunsch brought back to be the lefty set up/situational guy. Marte has looked better as of late so I see him as the lefty closer.

Why? :huh

I think this has been discussed numerous times both here and on the radio. Cotts' arm is just not stretched out enough to do that. Plus why mess with the pen at this time. He seems to be taking to it quite well. Next year we can have him as a starter.

All the White Sox fans that keep suggesting this sound like Cub fans who keep suggesting that Grudz should be moved to SS and Walker kept at 2B. It makes no sense and is almost an impossible thing to do. I just don't understand that move. Why not call up Diaz or Munoz. Guys that are already starting and are used to pitching that amount of innings and pitches already?

This subject has been talked to death. Cotts has been a starter for his total career and has only been in the pen for a few months. I am sure it wouldn't take long for him to be "stretched out" enough to be effective. Also Wunsch, if I am not mistaken he was one of the better relievers last season. I believe he was second against lefties and 3rd against righties. .

Really? You know it wouldn't take him long to get stretched out how? How?

I guess your right though. Lets move Cotts into the rotation. Yeah, then we could move Wunsch into the bullpen, until he gets hurt again. Then what do we do? Cotts could be permenantly in the rotation if he does well. What do you do in the bullpen when Wunsch goes down with yet another injury?

Looking at his history it shouldn't take all that long before he is on the shelf again.
