I'm curious about Cubs tickets Hear me out

Recommended Posts

Me and 2 friends are driving back to Canmore from Buffalo starting May 19 and we figured we'd try to catch some ball games on the way home. I am pushing to get to the hump dome in Minny to see the Sox there on about the 23rd, but my friends want to see the Flubs in Chicago (Sox are away) on the 20th/21st ish. I'm wondering if we should bother trying to get tickets or if it costs too much. Or what is the best way to try to get tickets? We will be checking the schedule for Brewers, Toons,Tigers ect. but I think there isn't much. mny advice would be awesome, I'll cheer loud for the visitors all week.

Seriously, they've just about sold out EVERY game for the entire season....except for the tickets they reserve for their in-house scalping outfit.

You'd honestly have to get tickets from a broker (scalper) for any game.

Your only other hope would be to check either online or by calling the box office a few days before the game you want to see, just in case a previous buyer's credit turned out to be crap.

Good luck getting tickets...............and good luck getting away from the Deadly Confines afterwards.

Are you kidding?!? The Cubs don't sell tickets to real baseball fans.

As far as getting to the Dome, you should have no problems with tickets. The last couple of years, even with the Twins doing well, I've been able to get seats behind home plate the day of the game. Plus, it's the cheapest ticket you'll find.

Try not to get seats anywhere outside the infield. This stadium's seats are positioned for football and you'll get a kink in your next trying to watch the action down the left and right field lines.

Another option I just thought of:

Hang around outside the Deadly Confines ( watch out for turning SUVs ) and once the game starts, the price of the "brokers" tickets will begin to plummet quickly. If you can stand to miss ShamME's first at-bat, the price will have dropped significantly by that time.

Hope that helps somewhat.

If it's too much the other two can go pay the ransom and I can go to a bar.(Hopefully one I don't get shot in) We might try to get em' late like you suggested, I think it's more the touristy thing than the actual game so we could go late if it came to that. Maybe I'll just make them go watch the independant league team and get twice as drunk for half the price. Thanks for the advice all. Mooch, I might need to lean on ya for Minnesota accomadation advice closer to the time if you don't mind. Or if you could get to the game or out for some soda's that'd be sweet too.
