You can still burn CD's in 4/4.5, PA, the interface has just changed a little. First create a playlist to burn from, and then the "browse" eyeball button on the top right corner becomes a "burn disc" button on those playlist pages. Still works quite nicely. ACC is marginally better than MP3, and substantially better than WMA (yet another crap Microsoft standard). Apple Lossless importing of CD tracks is a big improvement on the quality of AIFF CD audio and only makes files half the size. That is worth the upgrade to the new iTunes in and of itself.
