Upcoming series tomorrow with the Twins

CSF

Definitely not trying to put that ahead of today's DH with the O's, but a few things worth noting:

The good: No Koskie (DL), and the Sox will miss 2 additional Achilles heels in Santana (pitching today) and Radke (pitched last night).

Hunter may not be his stellar self in CF this week due to prior injuries. Not that he won't try, though.

Twins are 7-8 on the road this year.

Now, the bad:

We won't miss Silva and his 5-0 record. Plus, the Sox have never faced him before. Got an uneasy feeling about that game.

Even though Hunter is banged up, Lew Ford has been playing a decent CF, so the outfield defense may remain intact for them.

The Sox have to face them in the house of horrors next week.

Hope the Sox have great success in today's DH, and more success this weekend and next weekend.

Buehrle and Oden-Neisse are pitching in the series, correct?

Minnesota sucks against lefties.

Friday: Loshe vs. Schoenweis

Saturday: Greisinger vs. Loaiza

Sunday: Silva vs. Buerhle

I'm thinking if there is any night where fireworks could occur, Friday could be the night. Kyle Lohse comes to town with his ERA of 6.45, his WHIP of 1.96, and his BAA of .327, along with a K/BB of LESS THAN ONE(which DOES mean he has more walks then K's this year) and a K/9 of roughly 4.5. He's fastball is straighter then an arrow and we could light him up Sidney Ponson style

Not sure what to think about Saturday's game. Greis just had a good game against a mediocre Oakland offense, but he's been lit up in the past. I figure if Elo shows up and gives up 3 runs or less, we have a damn good shot.

Sunday's game will be a good one. I will make sure to watch that one. Silva has pitched pretty f***ing good this year(as his 5-0 record shows), but his last time out against Seattle, he gave up something like 11 hits in 8 innings, and he threw a career high for pitches IIRC. He could be shaky this next start, and if he gives up 11 hits again, I guaran-f***ing-tee you that he won't give up only 2 runs. It will probably be more like 6 or 7.

To put it plainly, I love our chances of making some noise in this series, and hopefully knock the Twinkies on their ass. If we can do that, I can only hope they continue it next weekend when I'm (hopefully) in Minnesota watching the Sox kill the Twinks again.

If Silva gets his sinker goin we're gonna hav a lot of trouble winnin the last game. We should tee off on Lohse but Greisinger worries me too just because I don't think we've faced him much bf.
