TLAK
From MLB.com "If we continue to swing the bat like that and wait for someone to do something, we are going to have trouble," Guillen said calmly but directly. "If you go up there and battle, and don't get a hit, it's part of the game. Besides that, it's pathetic. "It's hard for anyone to come for me and my people to see day in and day out the same kind of stuff. If our hitters don't start to swing the bat better or closer to the way we expect them to swing, there are going to be a few changes." "I can't say anything right now," Guillen said of the changes. "I have to sit in my office and think about what I'm going to do for tomorrow's game. "Go man-by-man against Minnesota, and we should be embarrassed. I think we have better talent. But talent doesn't win games. They should look in the mirror at themselves and see what they have." I hated the Ozzie hiring because I thought he was a big BS'er and I doubted he would handle adversity well, but here he is telling it like it is. No sugar coating or excuses. He grows on me. He will make these guys compete for playing time, and it will work out.
DBAHO
At least he's not sheddin the issue, gotta giv him credit for that.
Old Socks
Good for Ozzie. But we don't have better players than the Twins. Maggs is generally better than his opposite number, but what other position can you say that? Center Field, Shortstop, Third, Left, First Base? I don't think so. southsider2k5
At least he isn't going to stand idly by while this happens. Today's line up ought to be real interesting.
WHarris1
Today's line up ought to be real interesting. We'll probably see Timo, Gload, and Uribe.
Reddy
my question is why has ozzie stopped having them 'manufacture runs' ?? i'm not a big far of this, but it gets us an extra couple runs that keeps us in the game... arrrrg its just so freaking annoying

redandwhite
The Cubs are the team that can't hit, not the White Sox.. They got to get it going..
BrandoFan
The Cubs are the team that can't hit, not the White Sox Wake up -- so far this season Cubs better the Sox offensively at every position but SS and C. Cubs also have the to-die-for starting pitching when Jesus gets Resurrected in a couple of weeks, so they could "afford" long slumps. Sox must hit, hit, hit, hit, hit, hit, hit, hit....and hit some more -- think June 2000.
