NUKE_CLEVELAND
I'd have to say its a toss up between Takatsu and Adkins with the slight edge going to Shingo. Nobody ever talks about Adkins though & I wanted to give him a few props here cause he's done quite well so far for us.
southsider2k5
No one talks about Adkins for a good reason. He has been in one pressure situation this year, and imploded Koch-style doing it. He has been great in mop up situations, like his 4 1/3 scoreless innings protecting 11 and 15 runs leads. To me Shingo has been untouchable since the openning outing at NYY. EvilJester99
Shingo is pitching like he was hyped to be. I am very impressed thus far. Hopefully he can keep making hitters look silly like he has.
witesoxfan
To me Shingo has been untouchable since the openning outing at NYY. ...except for the ball that was 3 feet from leaving the park for a grand slam off of Javy Lopez's bat in Baltimore. When Lopez hit that ball right away, with the camera angle they showed, my heart sunk. It looked way gone. Luckily, it died in Carlos's glove with Carlos up against the fence in LF. But other then that, Shingo has been as close to untouchable as any reliever on the Sox. And(bold prediction) he will be closing by the end of the year. SoxAce
Noone gave props to Mike Jackson. He has also bee very solid for us this year. Granted he has not been as good as Shingo, he has gotten the job done most of his outings. I only remember 1 poor outing from Jackson. The others have been very good. The Beast
Takatsu is 2-0 with a 3.13 ERA with 3 bb's and 11 K's. In the mean time, Adkins is 2-1 with a 2.63 ERA with 11 bb's and 10 k's. Takatsu most certainly has the edge in his control and his strong offspeed stuff. Beastly's pick of all pitchers for bullpen: Takatsu.
