gsoxs1
I think Frank should hit in the 2 hole. Some points to backup my opnion. Frank has an OBP. of 444, because he walks a lot. There will be a man on for Mags in the 1st inning. The limeup could turn over very nicely, if you have Harris at 9, Uribe at 1 and then Thomas. Here is the batting lineup I would like. Uribe Thomas Mags Korenko Lee Crede Olvio Rowand Harris Just an opnion!!

Its a nice thought, but I like Willies pitch seeing ability and speed leading off, and Uribe has been deadly in front of Maggs. It balances the line up better. EvilJester99
I was wondering what if the Sox moved Olivo to the 2 hole? He has the speed and could be solid in the 2 hole.

Butter Parque
This would be my linup: 1- Willie Harris- 2B 2- Frank Thomas- DH 3- Magglio Ordonez- RF 4- Carlos: Lee- LF 5- Paul Konerko- 1B 6- Joe Crede- 3B 7- Aaron Rowand- CF 8- Miguel Olivo- C 9- Juan Uribe- SS
Ozzietheairedale
Here's my lineup 1. Harris 2B 2. Uribe 3B 3. Ordonez RF 4. Thomas DH 5. Lee LF 6. Valentin SS 7. Gload 1B 8. Perez CF 9. Olivo C Crede's got to prove he can hit. Right now he's the odd man out because Valentin has proven in the past he can hit and Uribe just can't be left on the bench. Thomas cant bat second because he's too slow and he can't bunt.
knightni
Putting Thomas at #2 would lessen Willie's SB attempts.. if 1b is open, they will walk Thomas.
Guest JimH
Just for kicks I'd like to see it happen for a game or two, but I seriously doubt it ever will.
WSox30
Harris Lee hit.320 there last year Thomas gets on base for maggs Ordonez hit .318 here last year Uribe Valentin Konerko Crede Olivo

I know it correalates with the top of the order but he needs at bats.
SnB
no way. The sox need speed at the top, to get something going on the basepaths.
The Critic
I'd go with this lineup for a while: Harris Lee Ordonez Thomas Uribe Konerko Valentin Crede Olivo
quade36
I am tired of hearing ideas of putting Lee or Thomas second. Okay, Thomas walks a lot and takes a lot of pitches, but he is slow. You can't have him bat second... Lee on the other hand, doesn't walk, doesn't wait for pitches, and is slow. Why he ever batted second I have no idea. I don't mind Thomas batting 4th. Lee, fifth is the problem. You need a contact hitter there. At this point, I don't see any Sox player that would fit there. Anyone passed the 4th is doing horrible except for Olivo, but he doesn't play much.
WSox30
I'd go with this lineup for a while: Harris Lee Ordonez Thomas Uribe Konerko Valentin Crede Olivo We have the same exact line up! We have speed with Willie. Carlos isn't no konerko and if he hits .320 there then i would do it.
moneyman6544
Remeber last year when Carlos Lee switched to the 2 spot and started on a rampage? What happened to having Lee in the 2-hole?
CWSGuy406
What's with a lot of people putting Rowand in their lineups? I thought we had this solved, Harris in center, Uribe at second, and Valentin at short. Also, why mess with a good thing? Keep Uribe in the one or two hole, he's smoking the ball, and until that stops, keep him there.
Rowand44
Guys, Willie and Uribe have been awesome this year, and they have speed, keep those two at the top of the lineup. It's been the middle of the lineup that's been killing this offense, I absolutely love having willie and juan as the top 2 in the order. HighHeat45
Ya know whats really funny... Last year everyone was complaining about Jerry Manuel switchin the lineup every game, know people wanna see the lineup different everyday

I'm not sure. He did well the day he got to do it this year. I wish we could put him in the 2 spot and take A-Row out of the lineup.
