I don't think she's in a minority. I don't own a racecar, and I enjoy the tweeking it takes to get the car performing well to get you up front by the end of the 500 miles.

No that is not why she is in the minority. I should make myself a bit clearer. She is in the minority because she is an engineer and her husband owns a racecar which makes her enjoy the event or find more entertainment and excitement in it.

She may be in the minority for that reason, but I don't think you have to be an engineer, racecar owner, or even a mechanic for that matter, to enjoy the things about NASCAR that I stated before.

I believe that was not my statement. I believe that was someone else's statement. It helps her to enjoy it. I was responding to her statement. I think you decided to respond to my response to hers.

Maybe if the drivers drove one lap then stopped, got out of the car, adjusted their driving gloves, pretended to steer and shift a few times, took a deep breath and got back in the car for another lap, just to start it all over again - it would be more of a sport.

Sounds a little like baseball, huh?

REDNECK LOVE POEM

Susie Lee done fell in love,

She planned to marry Joe.

She was so happy 'bout it all,

she told her Pappy so.

Pappy told her, "Susie Gal,

you'll have to find another.

I'd just as soon yo' maw don't know,

but Joe is yo' half-brother."

So Susie put aside her Joe,

and planned to marry Will.

But, after telling Pappy this,

he said, "there's trouble still.

You can't marry Will, my gal,

and please don't tell yo' mother,

but Will and Joe and several mo'

I know is yo' half-brother."

But Mama knew and said "My Child,

just do what makes yo' happy.

Marry Will or marry Joe,

..you ain't no kin to Pappy."

I got the joke.

Not like I'm gonna stick an M16 through my monitor & shoot up your living room or something.

I guess the M-16 is a whole lot safer than a scary camera and some prison guards.

How about if they didn't sit on their ass for 500 laps? I don't consider anything a sport or anyone an athlete when the primary activity is sitting.
