southsideirish
I don't think she's in a minority. I don't own a racecar, and I enjoy the tweeking it takes to get the car performing well to get you up front by the end of the 500 miles. No that is not why she is in the minority. I should make myself a bit clearer. She is in the minority because she is an engineer and her husband owns a racecar which makes her enjoy the event or find more entertainment and excitement in it. She may be in the minority for that reason, but I don't think you have to be an engineer, racecar owner, or even a mechanic for that matter, to enjoy the things about NASCAR that I stated before. I believe that was not my statement. I believe that was someone else's statement. It helps her to enjoy it. I was responding to her statement. I think you decided to respond to my response to hers. Goldmember
Good s***, but it still doesn't answer the question of whether Nascar is a sport (or not). that would make ss2k4 a spammer...

DonkeyKongerko
If Carlin talked about NASCAR it would probably be lumped in with sailing and riding the bus.
mreye
Maybe if the drivers drove one lap then stopped, got out of the car, adjusted their driving gloves, pretended to steer and shift a few times, took a deep breath and got back in the car for another lap, just to start it all over again - it would be more of a sport. Sounds a little like baseball, huh?
