Stocking
A good friend of mine, a diehard cubfan, recently told me he was thinking about switching teams. Said it was outrageous the ticket prices, and impossible to get tickets to a game. Missed the old days of the lovable losers when he was able to attend and not be seated by a bunch of yuppies who cared nothing of the game at hand, but rather the fact that they were in attendance at wrigley. let him over? hammerhead johnson
I don't know. I don't like it. You know that he'll still be rooting for the Cubs if they make the playoffs, whereas, most of your "die-hard" and "devoted" Sox fans want the Cubs to get slaughtered. whitesoxin'
If he is legit, I would accept him. If he will just start being a bandwagon Cubs fan, don't let him in.

Ask him point blank what he would wear to a crosstown game. His answer will give you a true evaluation of his intentions.

mreye
Honestly, do you think you could EVER change teams? Yeah, you may be pissed off enough to not go to the games or not buy shirts and hats, but wouldn't you always be rooting for them in your heart? Yeah, you may be pissed off enough to not go to the games or not buy shirts and hats, but wouldn't you always be rooting for them in your heart? You are right, especially not to be a fan of your crosstown rival's.Why would he be a White Sox fan? I mean that just seems impossible to me. I could understand if he was like 5 years old or something and lost his way for a little bit we could possibly still save him. But I believe it is too late for this guy. He is a doomed Cubbie fan. CrimsonWeltall
You can just f***in switch teams like that. OH I THINK ILL BE A SOX FAN NOW. Scenarios where you can change: 1) Your team pulls some bulls*** that pisses you off so bad you can't stand them anymore 2) You move to a new city and become a fan of the team there 3) ??? 4) PROFIT
whitesoxin'
I always thought Joe's name was pronounced Joe "Creed" with a silent E when he first came up.
