Closer inspection of his numbers reveal that he's not really making as many people miss as is Munoz, who plays in the same league. They are getting hit at the same rate, but munoz is getting more strikeouts. Thompson has really limitted the walk, and I suspect that, and good defense have really been what made his runless streak possible.
