Do you like Hawk and DJ?

I really enjoy listening to them announce my favorite games (White Sox baseball). I like that they are both former players, because that gives them a much greater knowledge of what the hell is going on, and I like to here stories from when they played.

I just payed my first visit to the whitesox.com message board, and the first thing I see is unintelligent bad mouthing of Darrin Jackson. Luckily, Baggio and CW came in and made sense on the subject. I don't think I'll attend that site again.

I think both of them are quite good. It almost feels like you're sitting at the game with a couple of buddies, especially since Harrelson has been around so long.

Jackson, in my opinion, has made tremendous strides as a broadcaster. He's gotten better all along, it's obvious he works hard at his craft.

How can you NOT like Hawk and DJ?! They are such great announcers and have such a great knowledge of the game, being former players and all. They not only know the Sox like the back of their hand, they know the MLB. A lot of other announcers need roster sheets to know all the players, but Hawk and DJ's announcing is so smooth you can tell they rarely use them. Besides, how can you say no to... YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARDDDDD......YESSSSSSS!!!!!

WOW people at Soxtalk.com like Hawk and DJ! Seems like everyone at WSI and appearantly whitesox.com think they are terrible. Obviously by my username you can tell I love listening to them. They do have great knowledge and are entertaining too. Just very fun and easy to listen to. Some people knock how they are "homers" but I like how it feels that they are not only announcing the game but truley rooting for the Sox...something other broadcasting teams don't really give the feeling of.

One of the greatest moments of 2001 for me was getting 2 of my e-mails read on air :D

I think the fact that they are homers buys them some slack in my eyes. It definetly makes it more fun for me to listen to them.
