Chisoxfn
Thats it, time for me to focus my attention on the Laker game. Hopefully the Sox turn things around some how.
witesoxfan
I wouldn't of had jose playing at all, but after that 2nd at bat there wouldn't of been a chance in hell I'd let him face Rogers again. I'm pissed at the fact that Willie is feeling good (or at least thats whats reported) and he is now sitting. He needs to get his constant at bats. Jas, just so you are clear on this... You would rather have Willie Harris in against the lefty(.067(1-for-15) .192 OPS) then Jose Valentin(.211(8-for-38) .618 OPS)? Personally, I choose the guy who has the higher BAA then the others OPS. However, I do understand Willie needs to get some PT. Another days rest can't hurt though.
DBAHO
What called 3rd strike? Both Jose and Carlos went out swinging. Carlos chased an outside fastball but the way Rogers was jamming him in, it could only be expected. Jose whiffed on an awful breaking ball. The pitch was 3 feet outside. My bad, CBS said he struck out lookin, idiots.

Chisoxfn
My bad, CBS said he struck out lookin, idiots. Ya, just look at my post in the other thread. I'm not going to not play Harris based on 15 at bats this season. Look at his minor league splits and you'll see he never was really a one dimensional offensive player (in the sense that he could only hit righties). Look at Jose's career splits and it will tell you different. ALthough he is a little bit better from the left side of the plate. Willie would of sucked 15 at bats into this season regardless of who he was batting against, but the Sox didn't take those stats and write it off. He came back, got comfortable and started hitting. Plus, has he even gone up against any lefties since he got things figured out???? I want Willie playing everyday regardless. He does little things that help this ball club win and thats something you can't say about all the players.
